New AM station

Excel, Alabama: 1400KHz:
Permit granted for new station.
1,000 watts day and night, non-directional.
31-26-42N/87-18-55W

I can't find Excel on my atlas but the coordinates plot in the general vicinity of Monroeville in southern Alabama, roughly 80km northeast of Mobile.

Excel, AL is a small incorporated community just south of Monroeville and east of Frisco City. The actual town population is listed at 582 but it should be much higher when the 2010 Census is taken. The housing bubble sent a lot of Monroeville residents this way for its high school. The surrounding area in between Excel and Monroeville (an unincorporated community called Ollie) has many residents too, so this new station at AM 1400 could have some listeners. I wonder what will become of WMFC 1360, a Monroeville daytimer.
