AM station deleted
South Bend, Indiana: 1490KHz: WPNT deleted.
This is (was) the standard-band side of expanded-band station WDND-1620.

I believe 1620 actually spun off from 1580, which is still on the air as WHLY...as a graveyarder, 1490 wasn't easily eligible for an X-band sister.
1490 lost its tower site to a new Notre Dame hockey rink and never rebuilt, fwiw.
Of course, Scott is absolutely right...
I didn't know about the hockey rink but I did know about 1580. The things that happen when a brain gets old....
