Station resurrected from the dead, kinda

East Point, Georgia: 1260KHz:
WYXC requests move from Cartersville, 1270KHz:

5,100 watts daytime 52 watts nighttime non-directional 33-41-47N 84-28-29W

Until 2014, station WTJH existed on 1260 in East Point. I cannot find official technical information but Wikipedia says WTJH was 5,000 watts daytime, 39 watts at night -- at the same coordinates. The WTJH license was canceled in 2014 when the FCC found it had been off the air for (well) over a year.

AM call changes

The following stations have recently changed callsigns:

Irondale, Alabama 1480 WMMA from WQOH
Montgomery, Alabama 950 WZKD from WNZZ
Fort Myers, Florida 1240 WFSX from WFWN
Branson, Missouri 1220 KCAX from KOMC
Chattanooga, Tennessee 1370 WXCT from WDEF
Spokane, Washington 1330 KYOZ from KMBI
West Bend, Wisconsin 1470 WIBD from WBKV

Win one, lose one?

Culver City, California: 1500KHz:
Permit granted for new station.

120 watts daytime
150 watts nighttime
Directional all hours, different patterns
34-01-10N/118-20-44W
Existing site of KWKW 1330
Authorized new site of KABC 790.

Presumably these towers are efficient enough to reach the required minimum signal with less than the 250 watts ordinarily required.

Catskill, New York: 560KHz:
WCKL license canceled

WCKL's owners were accused of using pseudonyms to skirt the multiple-ownership regulations. (among other wrongdoing) They signed a Consent Decree under which they agreed to surrender several licenses and would be allowed to keep others. WCKL is one of the licenses surrendered.
