FCC AM items 25 April 2019

Marathon, Florida: WFFG 1300:
Granted STA for reduced power of 300 watts. Sailboat mast knocked out power line to uninhabited island holding the WFFG transmitter. Station will operate from generator.
New Port Richey, Florida: WPSO 1500:
Issued Notice of Violation. Station was found operating at night, but is only authorized to operate during the day.
Lynchburg, Virginia: WLLL 930:
Issued Notice of Violation.
  • Could not demonstrate EAS equipment was operational.
  • No log of EAS operation.
  • No ability to process CAP (Internet-delivered) EAS messages.
  • Antenna Structure Registration Number not displayed at tower.
  • Tower lighting not working properly, and not reported to FAA.
  • Operating at 74% of authorized daytime power. (6,660 watts vs. authorized 9,000)
  • Operating at 533% of authorized nighttime power. (224 watts vs. authorized 42)

    FCC proposes to revoke license for failing to pay $11,386.77 in regulatory fees in six years between 2009 and 2017.
    Orange, Massachusetts: WJDF 97.3:
    License canceled. Failed to pay regulatory fees since 2014, and failed to respond to FCC inquiries.
    Worcester, Massachusetts: Pirate 103.5:
    Notice of Unlicensed Operation issued, Grafton Street. FAA complained of interference at Logan Airport.
